Intermittent Radio and electrical prob.

I have had my H2 for about 4 months. The problem is that the radio has been
Very intermittent. For instance the stereo comes on but no audio out of the speakers. If you disconnect the battery or let it set for awhile, it resets the computer and starts working again. The dealership said they have had quite a few with the same type of radio problem. They said that they replace it which usually fixes it. Not in this case, they replaced the stereo and mirrors last Friday. That night we went out to dinner and the stereo was working. When done with dinner turned the key and nothing out of the stereo. Blah, the Stereo would come on but no audio would come out of the speakers. Also if you press the OnStar it looks like it is working but still no audio.

If anyone has had a problem like this with the radio or battery dieing and could offer some advice I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,

KC

They just replaced the radio for the second time on Tuesday. I'm still having the same problem. They are working with Hummer Technical Support. We'll See!

Post if it's not fixed yet

Condition
Some customers may comment that at times there is no audio out of any speakers. However, on the next key cycle the audio system may perform properly.

Cause
An anomaly within the amplifier/radio operating systems may cause this condition.

Correction

Important
Pay particular attention to this correction procedure, it is somewhat complicated. The repair varies based on the vehicle sound system. Refer to the Service Parts Identification (SPID) Label of the vehicle being repaired. The type of sound system in the vehicle will determine the repair procedure.

Determine the regular production option (RPO) code of the sound system in the vehicle from the SPID label.
Install the Tech 2® to the vehicle DLC and determine the part number of the radio software and the amplifier part number.
Refer to the tables below to determine the correct repair(s).
Silverado, Tahoe, Suburban, Avalanche, Express, Sierra (except Denali), Yukon (except Denali), Yukon XL (except Denali), Savana (with UB0, UB1 or UC6 Sound Systems without Y91 Option) If Radio Operational software is

Hum tech is correct.
I had the software update to radio and still had problem.
2nd they replaced the Bose amp and it was fixed.
BTW when the speakers don't work the 2nd row headsets still work so the radio is OK.
