How do you replace the left rear side marker light?

My marker light above the fuel filler door on the lft side is out, so I took it off thinking I would replace the bulb.
Well when I tried to unplug it, I ended up pulling out the wires.
So now I need to replace the whole thing, but how do you do it, do you have to cut and splice the wires or what?

Its not an issue on it,but a proper phenomenon need to understand it,so search for it online and take a proper sketch and video tutorial about its fixation so it guides you well about it.

Mine just went out as well. Does anyone have the following document "Door Sill Plate Replacement - Rear" for properly removing the cargo trim panel in order to replace the market light?
