The right price?

There is a yellow H2 with 19K on it at the dealer just down the road from me. They want $49,900 - I think thats kinda steep, anyone agree...and how is the best way to work them?

Thanks!

I agree that the price is steep -- I was able to get mine at $48,000 (fully loaded) and brand new (83 miles on it). Ken Batchelor in San Antonio is offering $5000 off MSRP on all remaining 2003s in stock. I wouldn't bother haggling with this guy, you can probably get a better deal on a new one elsewhere.

Thanks Stacy!

I agree, and I bet they would not move much on it...They have been known to take in trades losing out pretty big, and trying to make it up on the other end befor as well. I'll bet thats what they are doing with this one. I really want the SUT, I just hate waiting, and now seeing that its going to be a limited run on the SUT, I am fearful of a steeper price.

Thanks again,
Josh

---I think that the H2 SUV & SUT are EACH considered limited production. I think the SUV is 40-50K units per year ... not sure how many SUT's will be built. I do not think they are talking SUPER LOW production (1,000 units per year ... which would be similar to the H1's).

SMTBs,

We got our 2004 H2 about a month ago for a little more than what they are trying to sell that 2003 H2 for.

Is that a joke?

No joke man...thats what I wanted to ask them. Seeing how I just sold them a PBX Phone system, I thought they might cut me some slack....um ....no. Oh well...where's the SUT's already?

Thanks Steve for the help on the "limited" production run for me. i had no idea they said the same thing for the SUV. It must just be marketing...gets me every time.

<<MARKETING>>

YEP! Calling something LIMITED can mean that it isn't desired all that much. However, with proper MARKETING ... it means it'll cost you an extra $5 - $10 thousand!

The 2003 Commerative Edition Corvettes aren't really LIMITED in edition ... but they ARE at a premium price.

I also heard about the news. According to General Motors, production of the H2 SUV and SUT Black Chrome models with the suv accessories will be limited worldwide. It so happen that many wants to buy the black chrome models.
