Has anyone bought the magnetic skins from SMA? If you've gone offroad, you realize that the biggest downside to the H2 is its width (at least offroading in CO and UT). To me, a $450 investment in protective skins is probably the best upgrade I can get.
They offer them in camo or black. Personally, I don't think the camo would hide my yellow H2 :-)

I got them as soon as I got the truck. I would not off-road without them. My H2 is yellow also and the skins look pretty good on it.

I guess the question is do they stay on while off-roading. I hear you have to tape them on beyond the magnetic stick. If this is the case it seems like a real pain.
Of course the first time I went off-roading I caught a sm. tree stump with my side door. Thought for sure I put a hole in the side but in the end just surface scratched the paint.
Have been debating purchasing the skins but everytime I see a post the issue of staying on comes up... Hoping to see someone with them next trip off-roading.

Yes, you need to tape them on. I'll be at the Hummer Club Inc event next week in Hazelton (Paragon) Pa if anyone wants to see them.

Now I'm bummed. I will up at Paragon on Sunday but not the Hummer Event. Guess I will miss that chance to see them. Have fun though, should be cool. Never actually joined the club. Is the membership worth it?
