Gas theft seems to be the activity du jour in our neighborhood. Kids are syphoning it out of cars and boats alike. Anyone else have this problem and is there a locking device for the H2 available?

A locking gas cap was my first post-H2 purchase.
There are a few versions available, but I found a nice chrome one online.
Also note that the 2003 and 2004 gas caps fit slightly differently. So if you order, let the dealer know the year, or the check engine light will come on.

You can get the locking fuel door if you're looking for something pricey. I have a $20 locking cap by Stant (it's made for the Pontiac Aztek), that fits my 2003. It looks pretty much like the stock cap.

A locking gas cap is the inexpensive way to go. My thought is kill two birds with one stone and get a locking gas door. Dress your H2 up and save your gas at the same time. I would also consider that it would be harder for a vandal to get at you gas tank and thus your engine with a fuel door. Just my 2 cents.
