I am the recent new owner of a 04 Hummer. I just stumbled across this forum and have read some posts about vandalism and anger toward the hummer. I have had no problems yet and perhaps it has to do with where you live, but you guys are freaking me out now! I don’t want to have to worry that every time I park my car that someone is going to mess with it. I have had other large SUV’s (Denali) with no issues. Am I destined to have to baby-sit my car wherever it is? Perhaps some more of you posting with positive comments would reassure me that vandalism is not the norm, but is the same as with any other high profile vehicle.

Relax. H2 attacks happen, but they seem to be few and far between. At least those directed at the vehicle simply because it's an H2. If you have pricey stuff in it, like monitors, then yeah, you might have to babysit, but that's no different than any other vehicle.

I've had mine for 10 months now with nothing but positive remarks. I leave it outside at night, have parked it at malls, airport parking decks, etc. No vandalism at all. Some people have bad luck, others live in areas with a higher concentration of wackos. I wouldn't let it worry you or be a deterrent to driving the truck, that's for sure.

One way to avoid vandals....take it off road, they generally won't follow you there. ;)

Stacy, thanks for the confidence boost.

Other car organizations have national and regional clubs. I am a member of other car clubs and we have some great events. Does anyone know of any for the Hummer? Be fun to get together with some other owners for driving or social events.

I don't know about the organizations but I've had no problem with my property being vandalized and won't stand for it. Better try it in a cowardly act. Other than that,i don't worry. Thats why i pay insurance.

Home of the H2 Club. Pick your area of the country, there's bound to be a chapter. I'm in the S. TX chapter, which is pretty active. We usually have a get together once a month or so.
