Earlier this month, I had an assignment that took me from my home here in Chicago, to Las Vegas. One of the reason's I bought my H2 over a year ago, was that, as a photographer, when I go on location, I need to bring a ton of equipment. This assignment was for a calendar, to be shot in and around Las Vegas. I loaded up the beast, and headed out.
The H2 performed perfectly on the road, and, once at locations for the shoot, provided a great backdrop on a dry lake bed, as well as a comfortable (and cool) location for makeup to be applied to the models.
Now, on the way back, it was straight to Zion, Bryce, Hell's Backbone, and then the road from Boulder Utah to Bull frog. It was fun to get the truck dirty and see what it could do. I'll have some pics to post here shortly, but what an incredible machine.
Hauling about 1,000 pounds of equipment, crossing the divide at Monarch Pass (some 11,000 feet) and still enough power to zoom past those that didn't (oh, and I averaged 11.9 MPG for the trip).
YOWZA!
