I just got a 04 h2 and I love it. I've had excursions up to this point and was concerned about giving up the extra room because I kept it pretty full, but the compromise is well worth it. I was concerned initially because most nonowners compare the hummer to a big jeep with twice the price tag. After owning one, I think it would be a more accurate comparison to an escalade with the offroad capabilities of a small tank. :thumbs Anyone who doubts the h2 does not yet own one. I took mine off roading the first weekend I had it, and it tackled every obstackle while the air ride suspension made it the most comfortable rock crawl I have ever had.
One thing I hate is the shifter, it feels like driving a sherman tank while holding a straw. Has anyone seen the grenade shifters from defenderworks and do you think they are worth the price tag. Well thanks for reading and look forward to reading comments.

You can get shifters that are "real metal" from many places. I think SMA makes one that looks just like the stock plastic one. Personally I like one that is horizontal like the stock.
