Just got my Skid Plate back from james at Bright-Lee Polished metals. WOW, what a wonderful job he did. The skid plate looks Fantastic. I put it on today and already had several people comment on it. I'm sure some of you have already had James polish your skid plate and know what I'm talking about. But for those who have not had it done and are thinking about it, it's well worth it. It was easier than I thought in shipping it out and I had it back in less than a week. James was very professional, friendly and kept me up to date of what was going on. To anyone who is thinking of having it done, you won't be disapointed.:)

Hi austoak,
Can you post a photo of your Hummer with the Chromed Skid Plate installed? Can you elaborate on the estimated cost to have it chromed?
Thank you,
Discofever..

Disco fever,
I went through E-Bay, I did the "Buy it now" for $175.00. It's polished alluminum not chromed which is better, It won't pitt or peel. I paid $175.00 +$25.00 for shipping. I also paid an extra $25.00 for the polished protectant that he puts on. James also will also ship that Polish and protectant to you when he ships your Skid plate back to you. The total was $225.00. The Polish and protectant is optional. I'll tell ya, the plate looks great. I wish I could include a picture of my skid plate but I can't. I'm a computer idiot when it comes to stuff like that. Go to his web site and you can check out pictures of his work. The site is "WWW.BRIGHTLEE.COM". Disco fever, I've talked to alot of people on the H-2 source.com site before I had it done who were all very happy with James work. It was really easy to do regarding shipping out the skid plate. I had it back in less than a week. Go to his web site and give him a call he will be more than happy to answer any questions you might have. James is a great guy and very friendly. Good luck and let me know how you make out. :)

Does it stay relatively clean or will I have to scrub there every weekend when I wash the h2?

I wash it everytime I wash my truck, with a mild soap. I then dry it off each time with some paper towels. It still looks great!! James will send you for an extra $25.00 a polisher and cleaner that you should use every 3-4 months if needed. If you want give him a call he will be more than happy to help you. I also left a post on the H2 source website. Check it out. There are a few testamonials there. Good Luck :yesnod
