JordanHummer,
They are supposed to make XM a standard option. We wish we would have waited until 2005, because XM is a great option!

I just received mine, a 2004 , with the dvd-based guidance system. (Sound stealthy!). The owners manual talks about XM in this system, but it is still not avaialble.
What a tease from the General.

You can use the factory xm display on your nav radio with the soundgate interface and a pioneer xm module.

I am using it with a pioneer 12 disk changer.
The steering wheel controls even work.

Thanks for the info guys. Where I live we don't have XM so hopefully that's the only change since the H2 costs 125,000 dollars here!!! I actually wish they would upgrade the interior a little bit. If you see the inside of the Range Rover it's stunning.

Last thing I heard was that the NAV display will be bigger, more visible, and more functional (whatever that means). They talking about relocating it to be more of a pop-out LCD as opposed to the small display in the radio.
Who knows what realy will happen :skep

Hey Blue
Does the display show the info from the XM as well as from the changer?

I just traded my 04 for an 05. The 05 has the Lux series with ebony interior. The differences are aluminiun sill plates, express all 4 windows down and up. 325 hp from 316. Touch screen NAV system. Chrome wheels, hood pull and latches.
No amber in the tail lights. all red. Thats all I can think of now.

Got my 2005 Hummer drop shipped to me 6/4/04...base model... the only noticeable difference is that all base models now have the Wheat Leather interior. The Lux package and optional interior is now a package called Ebony - features black leather. They all come standard now with express roll up windows for all windows and power heated seats front and rear.
I understand that for 2005 there will be more Dealer Installed Options (DIO) available. Also the demise of some colors - like the sunset orange and that weird green and the addition of 2 new colors - stealth gray (as opposed to the pewter) and a desert sand metallic (ugh!!). XM Radio to be standard on the Lux version (like JordanHummer) no sense for me nav and XM do not work in Hawaii - to close to the equator - all vehicles come in with these options deleted - even if they are standard. Rumors from Indiana are that there is going to be other power (engine) options as the year goes on - possible 8.1L V8 or Duramax diesel. Ther eis also talk of a hybird edition (bunk I think - no reliable confirmation).
