There are a variety of performance parts available for the H2. Some are current mods that also work on the other versions of the 6.0 while others are H2 specific.

Corsa recently introduced 6 exhausts for this vehicle. This is CORSA's straight-through nonrestrictive design is specifically tuned for the H2 6.0L engine.
Two cat-back versions are available:
- The H2-Touring Edition for enthusiasts desiring improved performance and greatly enhanced sound quality.
- The H2-Sport Edition offers maximum performance and a truly aggressive exhaust note during hard acceleration.
Both systems utilize CORSA's patented* Reflective Sound Cancellation (RSC) technology for superior acoustic control: a robust sound at full-throttle, yet whisper-quiet at cruise.
100% 304L stainless steel, precision crafted using the latest computerized mandrel bending equipment.
Two brilliantly polished 316L stainless steel tip styles are available for either version: the Dual Pro-Series 4.0 and the hydroformed Wide Mouth.
For the occasional or serious off-road warrior, CORSA includes a FREE clamp-on angle-cut tailpipe extension to temporarily replace the polished tip. Swapping takes just minutes.

Pricing ranges from $679.-$879.

The Diablosport H2 Predator programmer was just released this week. Average power gains are in the 15-20 HP range on the H2 and truck line. The programmer re-maps:
Fuel Curves
Timing Curves
Torque Management
Extend Speed Limiters (on most applications)
Extend Rev Limiters
Part and Full Throttle Shift Points
Shift Timing
Shift Pressure
Predator allows the end user to make the following fine tuning adjustments:
Timing Table (+/- 10%)
Fuel Table (+/- 5%)
Idle (+/- 20%)
Speed Limiters
Rev Limiters
Part and Full Throttle Shift Points
Shift Timing
Shift Pressure
Re-Calibrate Speedometer for Gear and Tire Size Changes

This is a very easy upgrade can be performed in about 10 minutes. Current discounted price for the programmer, your choice of a 160 or 180 thermostat and free overnight shipping in the continential US for $589.99

Volant will be introducing a highflow induction sometime in May. This is another easy upgrade that can be done in about 30 minutes and will show you a 10-15hp improvement to the rear wheels. I'll post more details when they come in.

Guys and girls looking for a big horsepower upgrade might want to think about the new intercooled Magnuson kit. This system includes the supercharger, new intake manifold with intercooler, fuel rails, larger injectors, computer programming, and a 3 year/36,000 mile warranty. Full color step by step instructions are also provided. The advertised horsepower gain is in the 130-140hp range but recent magazine testing has show a 163hp gain on a 4.8 motor. This kit comes with a silver "stardust" finish and polished is available.

ATI will have an intercooled supercharger available next month. These revolutionary new SC ProCharger models are the first and only gear-driven centrifugal superchargers to feature self-lubrication. The SC models share many of the design elements which deliver the record-setting durability and performance of ProCharger competition superchargers, and are also quiet and street legal. The P-1SC is the most popular automotive supercharger, and with its rugged design is the only self-contained supercharger durable enough to be backed with a 3 year warranty and powerful enough to harness the benefits of intercooling. The patented design eliminates the need for oil lines and tapping the oil pan, thanks to its exclusive oil pump, which aerates the oil to create the oil mist lubrication required by the precision bearings and gears. This oil pump (aeration pump) does not require priming at start-up, and oil changes are required only every 6,000 miles. SC ProChargers also feature an internal step-up ratio of 4.10:1 for improved belt tracking and traction, and are cast with permanent molds for the highest quality finish.
System produces 8-9# of boost and comes with a 2 core intercooler. This system will show you a 60-65% increase in horsepower.

There are many more performance mods available for this motor including 1.85 rocker arms (15hp gain), headers (10-25hp depending on the design) along with head/cam packages. More parts and info can be found in the truck section of our website.

Are there any concerns with superchargers overpowering other parts of the drivetrain? Is everything else strong enough to stand up to the extra power or should other mods be considered to beef it up?

The stock drivetrain should be able to handle the extra horsepower. It just depends how hard you are on the vehicle. When I run my Suburban at the track one foot is standing on the brake and the other has the gas flat to the floor. When the third amber lights I let it rip. Haven't torn up anything yet. This truck is mainly used to pull a 10,000lb car hauler but I was courious to see what it would run.

I mentioned headers in my first post and checked with some of the manufacturers today. Arizonia Speed and Marine has long tubes available -

http://www.tbyrne.com/trucks/asmheaders.jpg

They have produced gains of 22 horsepower and 25 ft./lbs. of torque on a stock 5.3L V-8. These exhaust headers are designed to work with all three V-8 engines; 4.8L, 5.3L and 6.0L. Features: 4.8L, 5.3L and 6.0L application; 1 3/4" Primary Tubes; HPC Ceramic Coated; Emissions Compatible; Laser cut flanges for accurate gasket seal; Includes headers, gaskets, bolts, and installation instructions. ** Does require some installation welding as documented in the installation instructions.

Next are The Other Guys mid length headers. One nice feature of these headers is their thick flanges -

http://www.tbyrne.com/trucks/ogflange.jpg

14-gauge mild steel
Electroless-nickel-plated
Titanium-thermal-barrier-ceramic
Corrosion and heat resistant
1/2” thick precision-cut flanges
50-state legal
Gain of up to 43 horsepower (modified motor - we usually see about 25 on a stock - mildly modded vehicle)
California Air Resources Board (CARB) Exemption No. D-509
Exhaust flanges are made from beefy 1/2" thick steel plate (50–100% thicker than most others) and ground flat.
Thick 14-gauge tubing is used instead of ordinary 16 or 18-gauge. Tubes are precision TIG welded to the flange.

A.I.R. refers to factory installed air pump emissions systems.
A special Electroless nickel plating is used inside and out. This is twice as durable as stainless steel. These headers are so well built, they’re backed by an un-limited lifetime warranty

If you are looking for headers that will be a direct bolt on the JBA shorty headers are a good way to go -

http://www.tbyrne.com/trucks/1860SJS.jpg
NOTE: Headers pictured are for an 8.1 motor.

Features include -

Thick 3/8 inch Header Flange!
Comes With All New Hardware And Gaskets!
Includes Any And All Required Emissions Fittings!
Excellent Clearance For Both Lowered And Lifted Vehicles!
Limited Lifetime Warranty!
Comes standard with Chrome plated 14ga mild steel!

This upgrade is usually good for a 10-12hp increase.

Quick note - we are offering 10% off most H2 products until 5/31. The only products this doesn't apply to is superchargers but we are offering a $250. store credit with any supercharger purchase. The guys at ATI said their kit should be ready to go in a few weeks.

I don't have anything to do with any of the vendors but has anyone noticed that whipplecharged is a floating advertisement for xtremeflow? My guess is that he either owns it or works for them! It is always the same reply... nothing to really ad to the forum....

I am a 6 year tech with Whipple. The Xtremeflow H2 was the prototype for the production supercharger kit and for the flash programming. The Xtremeflow products were tested with the supercharger. I have had alot of experience with aftermarket exhaust and the Xtremeflow works with or without the supercharger. I am not advertising for them I am letting you know where to get the best prices on proven parts for your H2. There others on this forum that all they are doing is advertising.

whipplecharged,
Thanks for the explanation! It certainly adds validity to your responses to know what your back ground is. Do you still work for Whipple? As you can see I have been a good customer of theirs and believe in their product.
Thanks again, Bill

Bill,

Thank you for the reply. Who installed your Whipple? Was it Craig @ Hovely?

Yes! Craig has a tech, Ron, that does all of the supercharger installs. He is really meticulous in what he does. He installed both of my Whipples.

Now I'm with ya! Thanks again for your great service! I still have my Power Programmer but haven't used it because of my Ed Wright custom tuning. I bought it in case the dealer happens to reflash my PCM without my knowing it. Have they made any upgrades to this unit? I did drive another Whipple H2 and the Power Programmer didn't seem to make alot of difference especially with the torque management so they ended up sending it back...possibly this was a defective unit? I am kind of wondering if mine is from the same batch or if that one was a "fluke".

whipplecharged: You post is like someone from Walmart going into a Target store and directing customers over there. Vendors aren't supposed to jump into other vendor's threads to advertise products. Each post has an edit function that can be used by the person that made the post.

AZHummer: If you sent your e-mail over yesterday you should have received a reply yesterday.

Thanks,
Tom

Tom:

I didn't tell anyone to not buy from you. I was just informing them that there are other companys out there that are a manufactor with tested and proven products as I mentioned before.

So whatever that has to do with Walmart and Target I don't know?
