Hello all,

Of the hundreds of outside spare tire carriers that hummer owners have installed, has anyone relocated the jack tool kit? I found I can neatly tuck the whole kit behind the jack mount bracket but I was wondering what, if anything, I can do with the threaded stud sticking up from the floor of the rear cargo area. I checked and it appears to be welded to the floor.

Anyone have any ideas?

I guess I should ask if anyone has thought about relocating the tool kit. It just seems to be in the way down there on the floor. I'm thinking about buying a Dremel and whacking that stud off below the carpet level.

I'm wondering what to do with that bolt as well. I know there are many H2 owners who have purchased the outside mount. I want to add the 3rd row bench seat, but there has to be a way to remove the bolt without cutting it off. Any ideas?

I'm also wondering how much of the jack will fit outside with the tire and how much has to remain inside somewhere??
