Anyone experiencing a ticking sound coming from the rear end when idling? Thought I'd check run it by the H2 gurus here before annoying our service department... yet again! Teach them to sell an H2 to a woman.... :)

In mine, the spot welds in the muffler came loose. Eventually got worse, and they replaced entire system (from a new "take-off" of someone else's upgrade)
have them get under there and do some tapping.

I aggree with SGilbert, it sounds like an exhaust leak:agree

Are you sure its not the air suspension system just making adjustments?

I also have some spot welds on the muffler broken loose. It sounds like someone is under there banging the muffler with a hammer about every 10 seconds. I only notice it at low speeds or idle after it has warmed up. My dealership is building a new branch in north Dallas to be completed in January so I plan to take it in then.

Flygirl,
If you have air suspension, it is the air compressor turning on or off.
It could also be an exhaust tick from broken muffler welds or just exhasut metal expanding and contracting. I had a exhaust tick and when I replaced my exhaust with a Corsa exhaust system the tick went away.
