Any news about a Diesel H2 ??

Does anyone know if there are plans to offer a Diesel motor anytime soon ? Isn't the H2 on the same Chevy truck frame that has the DuraMax Diesel & Allison Tranny ?
If anyone has any info on this....please let me know what you've heard.

I'd like some info on that too! Hope they'll put a diesel in it.

I have heard from several sources that there will not be a Duramax in the H2 anytime soon. Apparently they had one planned for 2005 but there is engine/tranny space issues and the SUT is taking priority.

I've looked around and haven't seen much on this. The Duramax engine would be nice, but the other side of this is that it would also raise the price of the H2 by about $6000! :rolleyes:

Price difference is worth it.......it will easily run for 200,000 - 300,000 miles.......probably more. Most people sell their trucks with gas engines when they have around 50,000 - 100,000 because they don't want to run into any problems......or they just want a fresh Vehicle. But if your the type of person that could hold onto a good diesel truck for 200,000 + .....that 6,000 extra will save you money.....because your not going out and buying a new truck at 50,000 - 100,000. Not to mention that they have better towing power, better mileage, and the gas is even a bit cheaper. But that's just me.......I've owned a couple Diesel Trucks for a long long time......and I can't believe how good they been !
I got way more than I expected out of them.
I'll never buy another Full Size Truck with a gas engine again.
But that's just me......I've had amazing experiences with them.
Everyone is different.

Simply put... NO! The frame of the H2 is not the same as ANY other truck in the GM line. The front third is, the rear third is, the middle third is unique to HUMMER.

As for a D-max in a H2, I agree, pics please. :skep :bs
