Anyone take there H2 in yet for the Recall on the H2 being able to be taken out of park?

Got the notice today, it says that it only takes 20 minutes to fix but I wanted to know if that was true. Every time I have takin it in for service they tell me one thing and then then it winds up being 10 times longer.

I'm concerned about the recall you mentioned. When did you get your H2? I'm wondering if they've fixed the problem. I got mine a month ago.

Well I'm going to be takin it in for the recall sometime this week, We have had our Hummer since they first came out.. We picked it up start of august.

They said its not a major problem, just that to meet federal regulations your car can't be abl;e to be taken out of park when the key is not in the ignition unless you have a locking steering wheel..

I just hate leaving my H2 at the dealer, everytime I do it takes for ever and it comes back with bird crap all over it..

Thats what I get from buying it from a dealer that also sells Lotus, Lambo's, ETC ETC... I would say when buying your car buy it from a dealer where the Vechicle your purchasing is the best they sell so you get the best treatment..

I had the recall matter done last week when my Hummer was getting the 11K oil change lub service. Dropped off in the morning, picked up 330PM. A minor issue. In my experience on another auto, a recall that was not done turned out to be a big problem 2 years later, better follow the instruction and get it done ASAP.

I plan to do it as soon as I get the recall notice. As yet, 6/10, I haven't received one. I'm wondering (hoping) that my H2 is new enough that it has already been taken care of.
