Any dealerships (nationally) offering good deals on H2s? The dealers in the Bay Area, Ca vary from MSRP to $12K over :rolleyes:.

I'd also look at low mile used, maybe with some of the essential toys already added.

I did a search on autotrader.com for used H2s. 426 were found.

There are a bunch on ebay. Not sure how the prices are but that might be a good avenue for a slighty used one.

I paid MSRP for mine. Almost hate to admit that and it was the first time ever that I paid list for a car. I started looking back in Sept and waited until Feb to buy thinking the hype would die down. Never happened.

I think dealers are starting to catch up with demand and with the war you should have no problem finding on for MSRP or less.

You could try the big Hummer dealers. Lynch comes to mind but there are others I'm sure...

I have been watching e-bay daily. There are some nice vehicles, but I think people are asking too much. Very few of the reserves have been met and they don't sell. Most of the bids end in the mid $40K range, depending on the options and mileage. It looks like a lot of them are being posted by dealers.

I think I would be OK with MSRP. I doubt they wil go below until the 04 is out.

It would be really interesting to get the % of ebay listings that don't sell. I agree that most of the H2 listings never met reserve. I know when I first looked at H2's I checked ebay for a while and was amazed that people where bidding close to list for a used vehicle and what might have been more amazing, they where not hitting reserves. I guess the market is starting to soften but dealers/sellers just won't except it. I see the same thing with Harley auctions. I'd be suprised if 10% of all HD auctions end with met reserves.

Hopefully the reserves will get more realistic over time. Auctions can tell you the real market price of a vehicle. If the real price is under the reserve than the demand will have to go up or the reserves will have to go down if any are going to sell.

try looking at GMBUYPOWER.COM for dealers in your area. Some of the dealers near me have in excess of 50 in stock. If you find dealers with the large inventory, it may be worth a trip there. From buypower you cn see sticker and equipment.

You also should look for differences the prices on invoices. There was a price increase near the begining of 03. If you find vehicles with the old price they obviously have been there a while and they may "deal" on those.

Ditto! I was also shown a returned vehicle (first buyer claimed he couldn't fit it in his garage) w/4000 miles that my local dealer offered at MSRP!!! I love the H2 but not enough to get bent over for one.

A few more months of the economy the way it is and those inventories swelling may cause the dealers to change their ways but I really doubt it.
There was a dealer local that had a "GM" demo with 6k on it, no moon roof, no leather, no chrome for 47k I think. Unless all you do is off road why bother with it?

I've always had really good experiences from Lynch Hummer here in St.Louis. I don't if they'll offer any kind of deals, but they've always been fair with my trades.

That's extremely important. Some places offer a low sounding price but try to get it back on the trade.

I got $2,500 off MSRP at Valencia California

Here in Virginia they're finally talking 2-3k off msrp, from nada just last month. They have 10 on the ground at one dealer and 20 on the ground at their sister dealership. I'm startin to warm up now, better get my hagglin hat ready!
